Connected services
Services are where you can 'Connect' to third party platforms like:
- Health Connect
- Strava
- Stryd
- TrainingPeaks
- Relive
- Final Surge
- Runalyze
- Smashrun
- Intervals.icu
- V.O2
- Gear Tracker
By connecting to your preferred platforms you can upload your activities once completed for detail analysis, plan and fitness tracking.
On phone, open Connected services from the toolbar overflow menu; on Wear, open Settings > Connected services. Pin to Home controls the shortcut on that device.
V.O2 is supported in 1.1.0: link your account to upload completed activities as FIT files, enable automatic upload, and download planned workouts, including workouts with repeated intervals.
Connecting
Linking is as simple as ensuring your options on the Link are set as required, then 'Tap to connect'. This will launch an authentication page where you can give Gear Tracker II access to upload your activities, and for some platforms, Download your planned workouts!
Workout Plan Download
Gear Tracker currently supports several platforms for workout download. Download workouts from your training plans can save significant time setting up your workouts.
Supported platforms are:
- Stryd
- TrainingPeaks
- Final Surge
- Intervals.icu
- V.O2
To enable downloads on a supported platform, turn on Download Workouts in its options, then use Download in Planned.
Options
-
Auto Upload
Allow Gear Tracker to automatically upload your activity after it's completed.
-
Download Workouts (for supported platforms)
Enable this to allow workouts to be downloaded when you invoke Workout Downloads
-
Upload Promo (for supported platforms)
If you're inclined, turn this on and support Gear Tracker by allowing Gear Tracker to upload a Promo with your activity description.
Local FIT export
On phone, Local File saves completed activities as FIT files. In History, open an activity's additional-actions menu and choose Save. If no folder is configured, Android asks where to save the file.
To reuse a folder, open Connected services > Local File settings and select Path. Choose a folder and grant access in Android's folder picker. Setting or using this saved folder requires an active subscription and is unavailable in recording trial mode. Once the folder is configured, Auto Upload saves completed activities there automatically. Tap Path again to select a different folder or clear it.
For activities recorded on Wear, allow them to sync to the paired phone and export from the phone's History.
