Workouts

Workouts are also a type of Profile that are used for executing an activity, but their purpose is slightly different. Workouts have an extra option to set the planned Workout Date. Workouts are transient and are automatically deleted 14 days after their planned date.

Creating

Workouts are created by selecting an existing Profile as a template, after which the planned execution date is set.

To create a new workout, follow these steps:

  1. Navigate to the Workouts section in the app.
  2. Tap on Create (From Profile) .
  3. Select the exiting Profile to use as a template to base your new Workout on.
  4. Name the new Workout.
  5. In the Workout options, modify the Workout Date and settings accordingly.
  6. Execute your Workout on the planned date.

Downloading

Workouts are also created when downloading plans from third party platform Links that support workout downloads. Downloading plans will create workouts on it's planned date and will apply planned Interval and Alert configurations for you. The remaining Workout setup (Layouts, Splits and other Options) that the workout uses when downloading is determined by the Profile the workout is merged with: The merged profile is selected by:

  1. If previously merged, remembering the last Profile that was manually merged for the same activity type and download platform
  2. Matching the same sport type against your Profile list
  3. Manually merging using the Manage features below

Workouts can be managed with a Long Press Secondary Action

 Edit the Workout name

 Duplicate/Copy the Workout

 Create a new Profile from the selected Workout

 Select a Profile to merge into the selected Workout

 Remove/Delete the Workout (no prompt)
