Usage

GTII user interface and navigation is made up of a serries of menu items that can be used to perform context sensitive actions. Actions can be performed on these items in three ways.

Primary Actions

Single Tap

Primary Actions

A Single Tap on a menu item will invoke that items primary action, this Single Tap will either take you a sub menu with more items sub items, or invoke a direct action. The sub title will generally signify the action that will be performed when tapping an item. For example, items with Tap to configure, Tap to edit, Start etc. will invoke another action and take you to the next screen. Items with no subtitle will generally take you to a list of sub menu items.

Secondary Actions

Long Press

Secondary Actions

If a menu item has a small white edge on the right hand side this indicates that there are additional context sensitive actions available for this item. Context actions can be things like move, insert, delete, copy etc. A Long Press on these menu items will invoke a popup action screen to allow you to perform a secondary action. This Long Press to invoke secondary actions also applied to screens that are not menus, like when you are in the layout editor a Long Press will invoke Layout actions.

Icon Actions

Icon Tap

Icon Actions

Icons with a divider line to either left, or right of the icon indicates that the icon can be tapped for Additional Actions, this may be opening a settings page or toggling an option

Toggles

Toggle Toggle

A small toggle overlay on an icon indicates that tapping the icon will cycle or toggle the available options for that icon type. For example: If the icon is a split type icon, tapping it will cycle through Distance and Duration options.

Select Lists

Select Lists

A small list overlay on an icon indicates that tapping the icon will display a list of items to select from. For example: If the icon is on a profile item like the image above, it indicates that tapping this icon will pop a list of related Library items to select from and attach to the profile.

Group Items

If a menu item has a small colored edge on the left hand side, and the color matches a parent items background color this indicates that the item is a grouped child item of the colored parent. There is no action associated with this, it's just an item grouping indicator.

  •    Collapse
  •    Expand

When a group item has related child items it can be expanded and collapsed to save screen space when the group is not in use.

Wearable/Mobile Sync

When a wearable is paired with an Android mobile you can install GTII on both the wearable and mobile. In this configuration any changes made on either device will be synced to the other automatically. As the mobile has more screen realestate this makes configuring things like intervals much easier to achieve on the mobile, and have this configuration automatically sync back to the wearable device.
