Layouts

Layouts allow you to configure your activity profile screens the way you want. You can have from one to eight screens, and depending on the screen configuration, up to 6 measures which can be changed.

Modifying Measures

While in the layout editor you can change measures by taping on the measure you wish to swap out. This will display a list of categorized measures to select from. Find the measures you're looking for in the list and tap it to insert it in place. You can swap any measure on the screen.

The measure list is a categorized list of measures. Tapping on a category title will jump the list to the 'All Categories' area where you can select another measure category to jump to. Tapping on a category title from here will jump the list back to the start of that category measures. This allows for easier navigation of a long list of available measures.

Color Coding

Measures have standard color codes for easy identification

  • Standard: White measures are overall activity or real-time measures.
  • Average: Green measures are average measures relative to their category. If the measure is in the Standard category then this green measure will be the overal activity average, or, if the measure is in a Split category it will be the Split average.
  • Minimum: Blue measures are minimum measures relative to their category.
  • Maximum: Red measures are minimum measures relative to their category.

Categories

Measure categories are defined by a title and icon. All measures within a category will have the same category icon in the measure title. This allows for easier identification when a measure has been added to a screen. Selecting a measure from the correct category is important. For example, if you are building a screen to track Split or Lap progress you should be selecting measures from the 'Previous' categories, like 'Prev Lap' or 'Prev Split'. When Laps and Splits complete and you want to glance to review your progress the Lap or Split has already passed, so at that point you will want to be looking at these Previous measures.

Modifying Screens

Screen modifications are achieved with a Long Press Secondary Action on the screen. This will popup an action menu with screen editing options.

  • Select from a range of screen measure layouts to apply to the current screen.
  • Insert a new screen above or below the selected screen.
  • Remove the selected screen from the layout.
  • Move the selected screen up in the layout
  • Move the selected screen down in the layout
  • Select the screen type, the screen type can be marked as a Lap or Split screen. This tells GT which screen to move to during a Lap or Split allowing summary information to be shown without touching the device.
  • Mark the selected screen as the home screen, this tells GT which is your main Home screen so it knows where to move back to after screen events, like Lap and Split complete.

Options

Layout options can be accessed via the left icon with the small cog from the main layout entry menu item. See Icon Actions

  • Hold

Allows you to select which screen type you want GT to return to after events, like Laps and Splits. By default this is the Home screen, but you can also select your Lap, Split or Alert screen which might be useful if you are tracking high intensity intervals.

  • Show Titles

Shows or hides the titles on your measures, if you are familiar with your layouts, hiding titles can make measures larger and more visible as it creates more screen space.

  • Font

Choose between the standard system font (Default), or the built in Gear Tracker font.

  • Reset (Defaults)

This button allows you to reset all settings and configuration for this item back to it's default values.

    Note

Reset is only available when editing Profile layouts, not in Library layouts.

Edge Measures

Edge measure can be placed around the edge of the screen for extra information, they are useful for displaying the time of day and other less important information on the screen. You can place up to 4 measures around the edge of your screen.
